Very classic and old-fashioned in appearance with its small yellow gold case, this Piaget is nevertheless an icon of the 90s and a worthy representative of the "neo-vintage" typical of this period. It has the particularity of embedding a "Triple Calendar" movement in a very thin format (a tiny bit of 8mm thick for a diameter of 33mm, much smaller than its cousin reference 3940 at Patek) - an ETA 2892 - a generic movement embedded in a watch from a manufacturer known for producing exceptional calibers. However, considered by many to be the best caliber at ETA, it allows the adjustment of the day, date, month, moon phase and hour/minute functions via the crown only, doing without the classic corrector pushers. This allows for a waterproof and minimalist case with a timeless design. The dial is also a small feat for the time with an enameled base and guilloché sub-counters of the most beautiful effect. A pleasure to have on the wrist, the watch knows how to remain discreet while being readable. A real favorite that I never tire of! Pair with a black leather strap for a classic, all-purpose look or something colorful (like here) to stand out and make it completely different!
